Butter London "Bossy Boots"

I decided to splurge the other day and treat myself to my first ever Butter London nail polish. They're very pricey at $17 CA, but I'd heard such good things about the brand that I wanted to give it a go. When I got into the store the shade "Bossy Boots" immediately caught my eye. Its a very true pistachio green. So gorgeous! I was hesitant at first because I was wondering if the colour was a little too "out there" for me, but I decided to get it anyway and I'm so glad I did! It almost seems like a neutral colour since its so muted and pastel, I really love it.

Application was amazing also. The pictures above are from two coats, plus my Seche Vite top coat (which I LOVE by the way!). It went on very smoothly, not streaky at all, and very opaque. Definitely recommend this nail polish! I can't wait to try more colours (even though they are a tad pricey...).

Origins Order

I placed an order on Origins' website the other day and am very excited to try out my new goodies!

The order got shipped to me extremely fast; I believe it got to me two days after I'd ordered! So I was very impressed with that. I only ordered one product, and along with it came a free sample. I had heard Kate from gh0stparties (check her out here!) speaking about the Origins "Never A Dull Moment" cleanser and really wanted to try it. Since I'm so pale, I really like to find products that brighten my skin and keep me from looking pasty. I haven't tried it yet as I'm currently trying to finish off a different cleanser, but will keep you posted on how I like it!

You get to choose one of three free samples when you check out on Origins' website. I chose a sample of the "A Perfect World" moisturizer. I'm quite excited to try this out too!

Product Rave: Origins Super Spot Remover

I have come across a product that is too great not to rave about! A few weeks ago I purchased Origins' Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel from Sephora's website (you can find it here). A tad pricey for such a small bottle at $17 CAD, however this is really potent stuff!

This product is amazing! I use it at night after I've cleansed and moisturized my face. I take a little tiny bit and put it on any spots that I have. It is a TINY bottle, but you really do only need a small amount, so I think it will still last quite a while. I had a spot that was quite red and sore, and the next morning after I'd used this product, it had reduced to about half its size! It really stopped the pimple right in its tracks. Since then, I've been able to keep my skin so clear by using this at night. You can also use it in the morning (which I did once) and you can put your makeup over top of it.

Overall I'd really recommend this! Has anyone else tried this and loved it?

What's In My Bag?

Hello everyone! I was cleaning out my purse today and thought it was a great time to do a "what's in my bag" post. I am extremely nosy and love to see what other people carry in their purse, so I wanted to let you all take a glimpse into mine! I switch out the contents of my bag a lot, so this will probably be the first of many "what's in my bag" posts. Enjoy!

Lets start with the actual bag shall we? I got this bag from Roots a little over a year ago. Unfortunately I can't find the link to this exact bag online, which may mean they don't make it anymore. However this one is quite similar. I love it! It's very sturdy, and has a detachable shoulder strap in case you don't want to use the little handles at the top.

Here's a little peek at what's inside...

Lets begin shall we?

- A packet of maple & brown sugar oatmeal. An interesting thing to carry around!
- Pens
- My car keys
- My keys for work
- Card holder for extra cards

- My makeup case (I'll go into more detail below)
- Aveda Hand Relief hand cream
- Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers in "Vanilla Bean Noel" & "Island Margarita"
- Talula mittens (I do live in Canada after all!)

-  A hair elastic
- Korres Lip Butter in "Jasmine"
- Crystal Light (Raspberry Peach, Dragon Fruit Mango White Tea, & Tangerine Grapefruit)

Whew! Who knew I could carry around so much stuff? I also always carry around my phone with me (I have an iPhone 4), but at the moment it was beside me on my bed! Now that we've gone through the bag, lets take a closer look at what I carry in my makeup case.

- Sephora mirror
- Amazing Cosmetics Concealer (I forget which shade I have and the label has rubbed off!)
- Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in "Pale Pink"
- MAC Lipstick in "Hue"
-    My little yellow case which carries Advil
- NARS Multiple in "Orgasm"

Wow! That's a lot of stuff. Let me know if you'd like me to go into more depth about any of these products! I hope you enjoyed!

Beauty Wishlist

I was bored today browsing around the internet and thought I would make up a little wishlist of products I've been lusting after lately.

1. Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base Oh man I want to try this product so badly! It is extremely expensive so I haven't been able to take the plunge yet. I want to see if the Chanel counter will give me a sample but I'm always so intimidated by the high end makeup counters!

2. Urban Decay Naked2 Palette I put this baby on my Christmas wishlist this year! I have the original Naked palette and I really love that, but I feel like this palette has a lot more cool toned shadows in it, which I think will work quite well with my pale skin.

3. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation I've heard good things about this foundation, and really want to give it a try. I've been loving my NARS Sheer Glow lately but when I run out of that I think this will be my next foundation purchase.

4. Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask I smelled this hair mask in the store and it smelled SO good! I've been using a hair mask by Macadamia and I really like it, but I wanted to try this one out next. Its going to kill me to actually buy it though, because its ridiculously expensive. I may not actually end up ever getting it because I believe its over $70 which is just outrageous!

5. Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Tone Correcting Serum Since I have such pale skin I'm always trying to find ways to keep it from looking dull. This serum sounds like it might do the trick! I've read some mixed reviews about this product, but I think I want to try it for myself before I decide how I feel about it.

6. Real Techniques Brushes These brushes sound like they are amazing! I particularly have my eye on the Deluxe Crease Brush, the Buffing Brush, and the Stippling Brush. I'm not sure where I can buy these in Canada (if you know where I can find them please let me know!), but I am planning a trip to London in April, so if all else fails I think I'll pick up a few while I'm there!

7. Caudalie Beauty Elixir I think pretty much every beauty blogger has discussed this product! I'm not 100% sure what this product is meant for, but I want to try it simply because everyone is talking about it. Is that sad? I am so suggestible! I've smelled this in the shop, and it has a very strong scent, sort of herbal. I don't mind it though. I saw a set in Sephora that had this in, but it also had a few other things by Caudalie so I may pick that up to give the brand a try.

8. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in "Exposed" I have this blush in the shade "Natural Beauty" and I love the formulation, so I'm anxious to try out some more shades. This looks like the perfect nude blush with a hint of pink to it, very pretty!

That's it for my wishlist today! There are many other things that I'm lusting after lately but in order to avoid a huge novel of a blog post I cut it down to these eight. Have any of you tried these products? Let me know what you think of them!

November Favourites

I only have a couple of favourites this month, but I really wanted to share what I've been loving!

The first is NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in the shade "Siberia". I really love this foundation and have been wearing it everyday since I got it! It blends so beautifully and gives a good amount of coverage, but still lets your own skin shine through. I have quite a few freckles and this doesn't cover them up, but it does such a good job of smoothing out my skin tone.

This brings me to my next favourite, which is the Beauty Blender sponge. I thought it seemed outrageous to pay over $20 for a sponge, but I'd heard such good things about this that I had to give it a try. It makes it so easy to blend my foundation and concealer and leaves my skin with the nicest finish that is not streaky at all. I use this by wetting it, squeezing out the excess water, and then dabbing it all over my face to blend the foundation.

Next up is my NARS Laguna Bronzer. This is a cult favourite, and for good reason! It is just the nicest bronze shade that really works with my pale skin without being orange. Its pretty much matte, but has the tiniest hint of finely milled shimmer in it which keeps your skin from looking flat.

I've also been loving two blushes this month. The first is MAC Blushcreme in the shade "Posey". This stuff is amazing! It looks quite pigmented and scary in the pan, and it is quite pigmented, but I use a stippling brush (a Sigma F50 duofibre brush) to apply this and it gives the nicest rosy glow to my cheeks. Love!

The other blush that I couldn't stop using this past month is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in "Natural Beauty". This stuff is amazing! First of all, it stays on the skin for quite a long time, so it is very longwearing. Also, the colour is just fantastic. On my pale skin, it is the perfect "snow white" colour and makes me look like I've just come in from the cold. I absolutely love it and really recommend it to all my fellow pale-faced ladies out there!

My next favourite is the MAC Cream Colour Base in "Pearl". This is amazing stuff! Its basically a cream highlight, and I just like to use my finger to apply this along my cheekbones, a tiny bit along the bridge of my nose, and a little bit on my cupid's bow. This gives a great glow to your skin without making you look glittery or shiny. It really does give that candlelit look to your skin.

I've also been obsessed the past month with the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in "Rosé". I got this as a freebie from Sephora, it was their birthday gift for beauty insiders this year and it came in a set along with the original Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. I always wanted to try this but didn't want to cough up the money for a lip balm, but I think once this is used up I'm going to have to bite the bullet and purchase the full size! I love it! It smells amazing, like brown sugar and lemon, and really moisturizes while giving a very subtle tint to my lips.

And last but not least is my Moroccan Oil Treatment for hair. I've recently ombre'd my hair, so the ends are quite dry and damaged as I've pretty much bleached the shiz out of them! This treatment has really helped to keep the ends soft, and as a plus it smells amazing! The only downside is that this is crazy expensive, so I only bought the tiny bottle.

That's it for this months favourites! I hope you enjoyed! What have you been loving this month?
